As per Islamic calendar, a day begins on the sundown of the previous day, so Muslims, in Pakistan, will rejoice Ramadan 2012 on the sunset of Friday, July 20.
Ramadan is the ninth month of the lunar Islamic calendar, which lasts 29 or 30 days according to the visual sightings of the hemispherical moon according to many biographical accounts compiled in Hadiths. It is the Muslim month of fasting, in which Muslims refrain from dawn until sunset from eating and drinking.
According to Islam, the sawab (rewards) of fasting are countless, but in this month, they are supposed to be multiplied. Muslims fast in this month for the sake of representing obedience to Allah and to offer more prayers and Quran recitations.
The Fiqh Council of North America recognizes astronomical calculation as an adequate Shar’i method for determining the beginning of Lunar months counting the months of Ramadan and Shawwal. FCNA uses Makkah al-Mukarrama as a conservative point and takes the position that the combination must take place before sunset in Makkah and moon must set after sunset in Makkah.
On the basis of this technique the dates of Ramadan and Eidul Fitr for the year 1433 AH are recognized as follows:
1st of Ramadan 2012 will be on Friday, July 20, 2012
1st of Shawwal (Eid ul Fitr 2012) will be on Sunday, August 19, 2012
Ramadan 1433 AH / Ramadan 2012
Here I have compiled a collection for Ramzan wallpapers which are very beautiful from spiritual and visual point of view. Have a look………………..
